The Islamic Library of Dearborn was officially established in 1993 by the Detroit branch of the Muslim Group of the USA and Canada to serve the growing need of the Islamic community in Michigan and all of the United States and Canada. The library is funded by public support and became a federal non-profit organization in 1996. The Library contains more then 4000 books and publications in English, Arabic, and few in Farsi covering a wide range of subjects related to Islam. Members of the library may check out those books. Non-members may read but only on library premises. Additionally, the library houses a large bookstore. A wide variety of Islamic books in English and Arabic, audio and video tapes, CD’s, multimedia, software, and other Islamic items are available. The library ships orders all over the United States or Canada.
